Ingredients |
750g (1½ lb) chicken breast
1 medium onion
3 cloves garlic
2.5 cm (1 inch) piece fresh ginger
¼ cup plain yogurt
2 tsps white vinegar
2 tsps chilly powder
2 tsps coriander ground
1 tsp cumin seeds
½ tsp turmeric powder
Salt
Lemon juice
Garam masala
Onion rings
Lemon wedges
Lettuce Leaves

Method:
1. Cut chicken into 5 cm (2 inch) squares and press flat.
Grind onion, garlic and ginger to a paste and mix with yogurt. Add vinegar and spices and rub well into the chicken. Leave for three hours to marinate.
Sprinkle with salt and thread into skewers. Place under a hot grill or over a charcoal barbecue to cook until tender with crisp surface.
2. Sprinkle with lemon juice and garam masala and serve on a bed of lettuce leaves surrounded with onion rings and lemon wedges.
